Custom Floating Vanity Vessel Sink Diagonal ConsoleWhen cabinetry legs, gables, supports, and kickplates are exposed to humidity and harsh chlorine-based cleaners, they quickly begin to discolor, swell, and deform — especially in bathrooms where cleaning is more frequent. For this bathroom project, I designed and built a custom floating sink base using solid Mexican pine and a durable multi-layer finish.
Location: Tulum, Mexico Project Description: |
This custom cabinet is engineered specifically for small bathrooms in tropical environments. The diagonal structural console transfers the load to the rear wall, allowing the sink base to “float” while remaining extremely strong and stable.
